Jackrabbits and Jay-Hawks Rematch Highlights Week 2 Matchups

MOUNT LAUREL: Week 2 Predictions

By Kevin Kolodziej | Mount Laurel Media Associate

MONDAY

7:30 p.m. - South Jersey Dynasty (1-0) v. All Buckets (0-1)

South Jersey Dynasty had a big Week 1 victory, while All Buckets suffered a brutal loss in their season opener. Both teams will have different strengths heading into the matchup, as well. South Jersey Dynasty will have the superior guard play with Jabree Jackson, while All Buckets will have the advantage down low with Dame Gross. Both of these guys should easily have 20-plus points in what’s expected to be a high-scoring affair.

Prediction: All Buckets 80, South Jersey Dynasty 77

8:30 PM - Jay-Hawks (1-0) v. Jackrabbits (0-1)

After the Jay-Hawks picked up a controversial Week 1 win over the Jackrabbits, the two will meet again in Week 2 for the first re-match of the young season. While the Jay-Hawks are certainly stacked with Jeff Kliewer, Karon Waller and Phil Jackson, they still only pulled out a one-point win with the Jackrabbits missing their top player.

With Mustafa El-Amin back in action for the Jackrabbits in Week 2, along with the strong play of Jake Gurkin and Joe Petrone down low, this should be yet another close game. It’s tough to beat a team two times in a row, though, especially in back-to-back games.

Prediction: Jackrabbits 69, Jay-Hawks 66

THURSDAY

7:30 PM - Jesus Disciples (0-1) v. Kobe’s Rebounders (1-0)

While Jesus Disciples had a strong effort in Week 1, they’re facing an entirely new beast in Kobe’s Rebounders in Week 2. Mike Kouser will have a huge game statistically for Kobe’s Rebounders, most likely with 20-plus points and rebounds, but as long as Jesus Disciples realizes that, they may have a chance.

Tim Robinson will have to coach his team to play fast and tire out Kouser and Co. if they want any chance to win. Sure, Kobe’s Rebounders has the advantage in the half court, but if Jesus Disciples can get out and run, they’ll have a legit shot to even their record at 1-1.

Prediction: Kobe’s Rebounds 72, Jesus Disciples 66
