Hulk Likely to Smash Captain America in Week 3

GREEN VALLEY DRAFT: Week 3 Predictions

By Michael Palmer | Green Valley Media Associate

Spiderman (2-0) vs. Thor (1-1)

Spiderman's stellar group of veterans will face Thor in what shall be a very competitive game. Obviously the key difference makers for Spiderman will be Charlie Farber and Vace Randall as the duo are pure scorers and sparks Spiderman.

For Thor, Juan Carter is so agile and isn't afraid to take on anyone. He takes hard fouls, but get right back up and moves onto the next possession is something doesn't go right. Kodiak Yazzie played his first game for Thor last week and hopes to return to knock off Spiderman.

Watch out for Carter and Spiderman's Edwin Urbina to play some quality defense, but who will be on their 'A' game? Josh Rollans of Spiderman may have his hands full against Yazzie, but the big-man has stopped Yazzie in the past and he may stop him again in this one. If Spiderman can also stop Dominic Pedotto from inside, this will be Spiderman' game.

Prediction: Spiderman -5

Black Panther (0-2) vs. Ironman (2-0)

The winless Black Panther will square off against the undefeated Ironman. Black Panther certainly doesn't look like a team that's 0-2, but in the Draft League, anything is possible. Anthony Livingston and Stefan Hanania will be ready in this one, and watch out for Livingston to be a facilitator and run in transition like crazy. Hopefully they can have Luis Maceira suit up be a difference maker in transition as well. Where did the spark of Eric Redeaux come from? He scored 32 points last week and shot 56 percent from the field. Expect Redeaux to provide big-time stats and cause Ironman to potentially double-team him.

Speaking of Ironman, they have won both of their games by 40 and 34 points, but I don't think they'll do the same in this one. The trio of Bernard Preston, Sean Watkins and Angel Castro will be looking at scoring 20-plus points again and we'll probably see a ton of threes in this one. Of course J.J. Todd will grab his boards and also be a facilitator too. Hopefully Roberto West to get to the free throw line and contribute a lot. I really like Preston in this matchup and the speed that Ironman has, but if Black Panther wants to win this game, they have to run, run, run in transition.

Prediction: Black Panther +5

Captain America (0-2) vs. Hulk (1-1)

This game has the potential of being a low-scoring game as Captain America will face Marcus Wilson and Hulk. I really like this Hulk team as Wilson is so smooth for all over the floor and backs down his defenders so well. Daniel Bower is a quality transition and free throw shooting player, as he draws big-time fouls and delivers in the clutch. Sam Earl is and accurate shooter and comes from no where scoring very important shots.

Captain America has a lot of big guys on this team, including Mike Smiljanic and Anthony Khotsikian, but they just haven't been able to keep up with their opponents. They also were without Kenny McNeil last week and hopefully he'll be able to provide some big threes against Hulk. Let's see how aggressive Kerry Knoll will be from downtown as the all-time three point scorer in Ultimate Hoops history made six threes last week. This game will be all Hulk.

Prediction: Hulk -14
