Will Kobe’s Rebounders, Jay-Hawks Remain Undefeated?

MOUNT LAUREL: Week 3 Predictions

By Kevin Kolodziej | Mount Laurel Media Associate

MONDAY

7:30 p.m. - Kobe’s Rebounders (2-0) v. Jackrabbits (0-2)

The undefeated will take on the winless to open up Week 3’s action, and the first game will feature two of the premier big-men in the league in Mike Kouser and Jake Gurkin. While these two will certainly battle down in the post, it’ll be up to the surrounding player to sway the score.

Expect Eric Moats and Hope Phillips to have a big game for Kobe’s Rebounders, while Joe Petrone and Mustafa El-Amin should both be able to put up nice stat-lines from the Jackrabbits. All-in-all, whoever wins the rebounding battle should win the game, it just so happens Kobe’s Rebounders has the best rebounder in the league in Kouser.

PREDICTION: Kobe’s Rebounders 74, Jackrabbits 69

8:30 p.m. - Jay-Hawks (2-0) v. South Jersey Dynasty (1-1)

The Jay-Hawks are 2-0 behind the strong play of Karon Waller and Jeff Kliewer. These two are a couple of the best all-around players in the league and have proven that while leading their team to a 2-0 start. South Jersey Dynasty, on the other hand, really only has one true scorer in Jabree Jackson.

In order for South Jersey Dynasty to pull of the upset, they’ll need a big game from Jackson along with strong-play from Justin DeJoseph and Ruben Edouard. The Jay-Hawks are clearly doing something right and with merely have to keep doing what they’re doing in order to come out on top.

PREDICTION: Jay-Hawks 82, South Jersey Dynasty 79

THURSDAY

7:30 p.m. - All Buckets (1-1) v. Jesus Disciples (0-2)

Keeping it short and sweet, this game will come down to the play of Damon Gross. If he does what he’s capable of and racks up a ton of points and rebounds, Jesus Disciples will have essentially no shot of winning.

But, if they can figure out a way to contain Gross, they might have a punchers chance. On top of that, Jesus Disciples will need big games from Tim Robinson, Mike Nelson and Tory Whiting (who have all proven they can put up big statistics), but it will be a struggle for them to contain Gross down low.

PREDICTION: All Buckets 91, Jesus Disciples 83
