GREEN VALLEY VET B: Week 9 Power Rankings

By Michael Palmer | Green Valley Media Associate

1. Bhoudini (7-0)

Another game, another win for Bhoudini as they cruised to a 75-47 win against a solid Old School team. As usual, Charlie Farber scored a game-high 29 points on 13 rebounds as he shot 61 percent from the field. Daniel Bower had himself quite the game as he scored 22 points on 14 boards. Point guard Edwin Urbina scored 13 points on 10 rebounds and he's looking like a power forward out there with all of these rebounds he's grabbing. One more win this season and they'll be the top ranked team in the playoffs. They've had an incredible season so far and has a solid lineup each and every game.

2. OOMG (6-1)

Won via forfeit against Those Guys.

3. Buckeyes (5-2)

Won via forfeit against the RudeDogs.

4. GoodFellas (4-2)

The GoodFellas beat the Alcoballics by a 103-89 final and man did they need this win for sure. Chris Ford has been ballin' all season long as he put up a game-high 39 points on 19 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple-double. He's also shooting for accuracy this season as he shot an insane 71 percent from the field. Brent Husson scored a season-high 23 points, while GM Stefan Hanania got himself 21 points on seven made 3s. Big-time plays make big-time plays and that's what the GoodFellas did.

5. Old School (5-3)

After winning four straight games, Bhoudini finally said enough is enough as Old School lost by 28 points. Two members of Old School in Brian Stanton (19 points) and Alexander Gonzalez (12) were the lone players to score in double figures. Stanton made five impressive treys, while Gonzalez grabbed 10 rebounds. Other than that, it was a sloppy game as Old School made 19 field goals and shot 30 percent from the field. Rough way to end the regular season, but they should be at least the fifth seed in the playoffs, if not higher.

6. Boozers (4-4)

The Boozers ended their regular season at .500 as they beat 44 Minutes 64-48. Jason Salerno was the player of the game as he had some impressive stats scoring a game-high 21 points on 15 rebounds, while Carrie Gillis scored a season-high 16 points and made two shots from downtown. This was a no brainer who was going to win this one and now that their regular season is over, it's a waiting game now to see where they will be ranked in the playoffs.

7. Alcoballics (2-4)

Even though Kerry Knoll nailed down 11 3s for 33 points, it wasn't enough as the Alcoballics lost by 14 points to the GoodFellas. The Alcoballics managed to shoot 58 percent from downtown and 47 percent from the field, but when they would score, the GoodFellas would answer right back with a bucket of their own. Robert Lew got himself 21 points, while Luis Maceira earned a triple-double of 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. It's going to be tough to climb out of this funk they're in.

8. RudeDogs (2-6)

Lost via forfeit against the Buckeyes.

9. Those Guys (1-6)

Lost via forfeit against OOMG.

10. 44 Minutes (0-8)

Well, 0-8 sucks and I hate to see teams go winless on the season. Hopefully they get something cooking come playoff time.
