Ball So Hard Completes The Triple Crown For 2022
Arizona’s Ball So Hard wins the first ever 35+ National Tournament after going 6-0 for the weekend. They were led by tournament leading scorer Justin Dentmon and sharpshooter Alex Scales.
This is the 9th overall National Title for Ball So Hard. The question is how much longer will this dynasty last?
I will be honest I was not 100% sure Ball So Hard would win this tournament. I thought depth would be an issue with only 8 players in uniform this weekend. This being a 35+ tournament I figured depth was going to be key for any team to win.
I was proven wrong. It just shows how great their team really is. We see numerous teams try to stack their rosters with former pros over the years but somehow Ball So Hard always comes out on top. The chemistry on this team is unmatched and its truly remarkable.
I started the leagues in Arizona back in 2014 so I have seen my fair share of Ball So Hard games. I’ve seen this team from the very beginning. I know every player that has put on a Ball So Hard uniform in the past 8 years.
For me I always thought Alex Scales was the most important piece to Ball So Hard. This is a team that also featured former NBA star Mike Bibby and other various pros. But Alex’s outside shooting has always stood out to me. He spreads the floor better than any player I’ve seen in Ultimate Hoops.
The tournament has come full circle with the 35+ tournament. Alex Scales wins his 1st Tournament MVP and comes up big when his team needed him the most. His 3-point shot to close out the championship game against Desert Reign was the biggest shot I’ve seen him hit in all the National Tournaments I’ve been a part of.
Congratulations to Adam, Terrell and the rest of Ball So Hard. The National Tournaments would not be the same without you guys. It’s been a pleasure being able to be part of this incredible run from back in Arizona to all the National Tournaments.
Thank you to all the teams that came out to all our tournaments in 2022. I hope you all had as much fun as I had putting them together. Hope to see everyone back next year!
