As legendary NBA coach Pat Riley once proclaimed, “rebounding equals rings”, as in championship rings.
Doubling your rebounding output will earn you more playing time and respect from your teammates by doing the “dirty work” under the boards.
The rebounding taps drill is simple…but don’t let its simplicity fool you into thinking it has diminishing results. Its purpose is to improve ball control, rebounding around the glass, improving your jumping ability…and test your heart.
How To Start
Throw the ball up against the backboard. As the ball comes off the backboard, jump and tip the ball with a designated hand. Continuously repeat this for a set amount of taps. Start with 10 build your way up. On the final tap, try to score the ball.
Switch to the opposite hand and do it again.
Use both hands at the same time to do the drill.
