Personal Introduction: Hello, My name is Thomas Bowman, I was born and raised in Shreveport, LA. I have been a Houstonian for over 20 years and have called the Humble area home for nearly 15 years. When I am not at the gym, you'll find me with my competitive family. We hike, ride bikes, and play all sports (basketball in the house favorite). When not outside we play board games, card games, and video games.
Qualifications: I earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from Grambling State University. I also hold a teaching certification with the state of Texas and completed the Coaches Certification Program (CCP) through the University Interscholastic League (UIL). As coach I have attended numerous basketball coaching clinic and workshops.
Experience: My basketball coaching career spans 15 years, I have done grass roots training beginning at the age of 5 and gone through high school. I have served as the Atascocita High School Summer Basketball Camp Little Dribbler Director (ages 5-9) for 10 years. During my coaching career I have been the Head Girls Varsity Coach at Humble Christian School, Head 8th Grade Girls Coach at Humble Middle School and Assistant for both 7th and 8th grade boys. I have also coached for several boys AAU programs ranging from 10U-17U and I have had the opportunity to coach at both the University of Houston and Rice University high school camps. My expertise help build a strong basketball foundation which includes effective ball handling, correct shooting form, strong passes, efficient footwork, and reading the court to create the best angles of attack for both offense/defenses.
