Copeland suffers achilles injury in Syosset. Timetable to return unclear
Our player spotlight this week is a somber one as Michael Copeland tore his achilles playing in the Syosset open league on Tuesday. In 54 career games, Copeland has averaged 21.1 points per game on 56 percent shooting from the field, adding 9.1 rebounds per game. Copeland has won two championships in his UH career, one in Syosset with Unstuck, and the inaugural National Tournament in New York at the Life Time Sky club in Manhattan with the Thundercats. Copeland was a big factor in the tournament, averaging 18.6 points per game on his way to the title. We all hope Copeland has a speedy recovery from his injury.
