GAITHERSBURG: Week Four Predictions

By Remy Primas | Gaithersburg Media Associate

7 p.m. - Missouri vs Strayer

A rematch of Week 1 competitors pits these two rivals against each other. The first game was easily a classic coming down to last second free throws, giving Missouri their first win of the season. Strayer is looking to ride the momentum of a big victory last game. If they get another big game out of Shelby Jupiter and Micheal Smith they will be hard for Missouri to beat this time around. We anticipate Sean Sweeney of the Tigers to be all over the floor and his counterpart Chris Brown to make some big plays. If they can get Remy Primas to keep the ball moving this game will be fun.

8 p.m. - Virginia Tech vs Hampton

All across the league one question being asked is who can stop Pirates? They’re 3-0 with no plans of losing in sight. The Hokies are hoping to be the team that stops them in their tracks. It won’t be easy, but they will need to play great team defense and move the ball offensively. Eric Nixon will need to score at least 30 points if they hope to have a chance. Hampton is sure to get at least 90-plus points from Reagan Zamena, Jerry McFadden & Brandon Allen. Talk about a big three! Expect Chris Oleson and Charles Thompson to have breakout games tonight. This game should be competitive, but for how long?
