The RatPack Look Like the Real Deal After Week 1

1.  Las Vegas RatPack (1-0)

The RatPack looked rather impressive a week ago taking care of the Las Vegas Sin 105-64.  The RatPack boast a very impressive roster this season and leading MVP candidate Bobby Mears was the man who led them a week ago.  Mears scored 14 points, had 20 boards, and had 11 assists in posting a triple double in the week one rout. 

Newcomer Nathaniel Burgess scored a game high 41 points and Bohao Li scored 26 points on a perfect 12-12 shooting.  The core of this team is impressive and they are without questions the early favorites to win it all this season.  Next up for the RatPack is a date with the Las Vegas Bones.

 2.  Las Vegas Dealers (1-0)

The Dealers won in an upset last week over the Las Vegas Bones 68-59.  The Dealers were kind of the unknown going into the season and boy did they surprise everyone last week.  Bryan Lebo led the way with 16 points and 19 rebounds and GM Ryan Geurts had 15 points. 

The Dealers are not going to be the highest scoring team in the league but I bet they are going to be one of the hardest-working teams and most physical.  A good start to the season for the Dealers and they will look to move to 2-0 this week against the Las Vegas Sin.

 3. Las Vegas Bones (0-1)

My pick to win the league this season laid an egg in Week 1 falling to the Las Vegas Dealers 68-59.  The Bones struggled on offense shooting only 34 percent from the field.  GM Jonathan Mawhinney led the Bones with 20 points and Grant Lewis had his usual double double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.  The key for the Bones will be Max Miller-Hooks.  He needs to be the guy playing the bulk of the minutes and controlling the basketball.  If the Bones let that happen good things will happen.  Next up for the Bones is a matchup with the first place RatPack.

4. Las Vegas Sin (0-1)

Paging Chase Skinkis and Wes Bell…The Sin need you.  Wow not a great start for the Sin, the team that went 10-0 last season.  New team GM Marcus Milner has his hands full with this squad especially after they got blown out last week by the RatPack 105-64.  The Sin shot 32 percent from the field and an even worse 19 percent from deep. 

Hopefully this week the debut of No. 1 pick John Lazosky will help but I don’t see this team contending unless they figure out how to play some defense.  They get the Dealers this week which will be a big game for the Sin especially since the Dealers are sitting at 1-0 on the season.
