KING OF PRUSSIA: Week 4 Power Rankings

1. King and Duck  (3-0)

King and Duck continue to own the Hardwood winning their third-straight games convincingly by 27 points and making it look extremely easy. The combination of Marcus Gaskins, Ty Teasley, Anthony Bennett and Cody Pittman has been very impressive. The ball movement, spacing, and ability to guard defensively this team is primed to repeat as league champs.

2. Injured List  (2-1)

The Injured List have won two straight games since losing Week 1 and have gotten better every week. Even after losing arguably their best scorer in Jeff Miller they rebounded and knocked off the Monstars with relative ease. Mike Zhadkevich, Eric Straub, Tom Dellafranco, and Chris Shelton have formed a strong core that with the emergence of a strong lead guard they could challenge for the league championship.

3. Monstars  (2-1)

The Monstars drop to the third spot after losing Week 3 to the second-ranked Injured List. Captain Mike SIdebotham made it clear his team needs to start moving the ball if they want to win games moving forward. This team is loaded with talent with former MVP Kyle Dolby, former league scoring champ Adam Kovacs and lights out shooter Tom Fenstermacher but they are missing a clear cut leader to run the show and get those big time scorers in position to get easy buckets. Sky’s the limit but who’s gonna take them there?

4. Hit Squad  (2-1)

The Hit Squad maintain the fourth spot in the power rankings as they win easily in Week 3. This veteran squad is getting better each week and look to regain the form that won them the Spring Championship. Phil Cavalcante and Larry Tape Jr have been dominant thus far averaging a combined 31 ppg and 27 rpg completely dominating the offensive and defensive glass. The outside shooting from Adam Shute has been inconsistent and need to be better in order to space the floor for better scoring opportunities. This squad is right where they want to be in the mix of things.

5. KOP’s Finest  (2-1)

KOP’s Finest take the fifth spot after winning two-straight games and going strong. They may be without the league-leading scorer Stephen Coachi (23.7 ppg) who left Week 3’s game with a knee injury. Mekhi Clemons will need to pick up the slack and take the team lead. The addition of veteran Shawn Anderson will help the stability of this team. This is a scary team to play as they have the top two guards in the league.  

6. Sunline  (1-2)

Team Sunline has lost two-straight games after opening the season with a dramatic comeback win. The depth of this team has been a blessing and a curse as they sometimes can’t get find a flow to their offense with so many substitutions. Once they figure the rotation and role of everyone they will be tough to beat but that’s easier said than done.

7. Pippen Aint Easy (0-3)

Pippen Aint Easy remains in the seventh spot as they fall to 0-3. This team has yet to put two halves of basketball together. They have a good first half then a bad second half. When they are playing well they move the ball and make the extra pass, and somehow this doesn’t last for the entire game and they play selfish ball. Teamwork makes the dream work.   

8. Maverace  (0-3)

Team Maverace, the basement dwellers, are looking better and better every week as they are keeping games close but haven’t been able to finish strong. As we head into Week 4 they will have another tough game to get over the hump. Can they pull it together and close one out?
