Halloween Wednesday in the Vets League
SYOSSET: Week 4 Predictions
By Anthony Leo | Syosset League Coordinator
Shooting Stars (0-3) vs Let’s Do This Again (2-1)
The Shooting Stars enter tonight’s game with new life and a fresh start. They should be getting Justin Dattolo back tonight just in time to play a good Let’s Do This Again team. The Shooting Stars have been playing a man down all season long, but tonight that should change quickly with Dattolo back out there.
This game should be a high paced fast game between two teams who like to score in transition and attack the basket. Let’s Do This Again will have their duo of Adam Sutton and Jared Wulfow lead the way setting up the offense. The difference in this game will be who can rebound the ball. Neither team is particularly big but Let’s Do This Again has Steve Dukoff who’s not afraid to bump some bodies and get boards.
PICK: Let’s Do This Again

Hooligans (3-0) vs Walking Dead (0-3)
The Hooligans and The Walking Dead will delay their game until next week to enjoy some Halloween festivities. They will play on Monday next week and it will be a matchup of the undefeated and the winless.
The Walking Dead need a win to in the worst way, but it won’t come easy against the Hooligans. The Hooligans have one of the league best duos with Jay Harris and Stephen Sombrotto. They complement one another perfectly. In this game the matchup to watch that will decide this game is Sombrotto and Tom Dimicelli. Sombrotto is a great defender and he will have the job to slow down Dimicelli who leads the league in scoring at 26 per game. If Somrbotto can slow down Dimicelli the Hooligans have a good chance to win this game.
PICK: Hooligans
Ballerz (2-1) vs Dream Team (2-1)
The Ballerz and the Dream Team will also delay their game until next week. Both teams are coming off big wins and have started to build some momentum and chemistry. On paper there are some great matchups in this game. The first one is Mike Seff and Mike Venuti who both will chase each other around as they come off screen looking for open shots.
The other matchup to watch is the battle between ex-teammates Cedric Wallace and Chris Albano. Wallace will have a few inches on Albano, but Albano is more than capable of controlling the paint and holding his own against the bigger Wallace. In the end I think this game comes down to the outside shooting and perimeter defense of the Ballerz. They are versatile and that should help them guard Venuti and others.
PICK: Ballerz
