GREEN VALLEY DRAFT: Week 4 Predictions

By Michael Palmer | Green Valley Media Associate

Captain America (0-3) vs. Thor (1-2)

Captain America is still vying for their first win of the season as they'll face Thor in what will be a very competitive contest. I have a strong feeling the duo of Kerry Knoll and Kenny McNeil will drop down some 3s and explode for Captain America. Perhaps we'll also see big-man Anthony Khotsikian knock down some 3s and be a true difference maker in this one.

Mike Smiljanic will go up against Kodiak Yazzie and boy this will be quite the matchup. The duo of Juan Carter and Dominic Pedotto will need to be on their 'A' game and wear out Captain America. Watch out for Milo Berger to run in transition and make some tough shots. If everyone suits up for Captain America, I have them winning this one.

Prediction: Captain America -3

Black Panther (0-3) vs. Hulk (2-1)

Man Black Panther was so close to getting their first win of the season last week, but they lost in OT to Ironman. Black Panther will certainly be ready to compete against Hulk and keep up with their speedsters. I really like the duo of Anthony Livingston and Eric Redeaux and I anticipate the two of them to explode early on. They will be committed to winning this one and should make this a close game. The main question for Black Panther is will Stefan Hanania suit up? He was absent last week and will be a big factor if he plays against Hulk.

This Hulk team is for real and they have themselves quite the roster. Ben Carey is having a eye-opening fall season as scored 32 points last week and is feeling it from downtown. Marcus Wilson is such an accurate shooter and can go up against anyone on Black Panther, including Livingston. Another guy on Hulk that's having an interesting season is Lamont Harris Jr., as he is becoming a true scorer this season. Daniel Bower will run all game long in transition and I know that Livingston will keep up with him and the rest of Hulk. I truly believe Hulk will have the pieces to win this one, however, Black Panther is due for a win and they can get the job done if they're usual group suits up.

Prediction: Hulk -3.5

Spiderman (3-0) vs. Ironman (3-0)

The unanimous game of the week, if not the season, as Spiderman will face Ironman is a battle to be the only remaining team in the draft league. Spiderman has a solid core of players, starting with the duo of Charlie Farber and Vance Randall. They knock down some clutch shots and keep up with teams in transition all the time. Let's see how well Sam Earl does against guys like Sean Watkins and and perhaps Roberto West. My sleeper for Spiderman will be RJ Wojowicz as he scored 11 points last week and maybe Ironman will forget about his game.

Josh Rollans of Spiderman and J.J. Todd of Ironman will be a unique matchup in the paint as the two are dominate rebounders and truly rely on defense. If Edwin Urbina suits up for Spiderman, he'll for sure go up against Angel Castro of Ironman. Of course Ironman's Bernard Preston will be the guy to look out for on Ironman as I have a feeling he'll score at least 25-plus points. West was absent last week for Ironman is they need him in this one to contain Spiderman and stop guys like Farber and Wojowicz. I really like what Spiderman brings to the table and if they can slow down Preston and Watkins from scoring from downtown, they'll come out on top.

Prediction: Spiderman -5
