AUSTIN: Week 7 Predictions
By K. Scott | Austin League Coordinator
7 p.m. - Shots Fired vs. Arsenal
Arsenal has been playing well all season and are not showing any signs of slowing down. Pat Perkins is starting to look healthy again, which means they will put up more points this week. However, Shots Fired has been playing better as of late and they have some playmakers on this team that will force any team to play hard on defense. Arsenal just has too many weapons for Shots Fired to handle.
Prediction: Arsenal wins 96-90
8 p.m. - Team Finesse vs. The Blaze
Team Finesse has been very good over the past few weeks, but The Blaze with give them a real test. Can they match up with the two bigs from The Blaze? Dwayne Patterson has been playing MVP level basketball, but The Blaze need this win to prove that they are for real. They seem to struggle against all the really good teams. Team Finesse is really good at every position, but the big men will be mis-matches for them.
Prediction: 50/50 Pick’em
9 p.m. - Lifetime Elite vs. N.U.K.
Both of these teams are really good and there are a lot of good match ups that cancel out each other’s good players. The team that shows up to play and has the best shooting night from 3 will win.
Prediction: 50/50 Pick’em
10 p.m. – Austin Heat vs. Professors
The Heat are done for the season and the Professors have something to play for. The Heat are just playing to hoop and have a good time, while the Professors want to make some noise in the playoffs. Building chemistry right now is important to them. Richard Ekeke and John Scott will play well, but BNez will be the x-factor for this game.
Prediction: Professors win 87-78
