The Battle of the Owens (0-Wins) is Upon Us
BURLINGTON: Week 7 Predictions
By David Jordan | Burlington League Coordinator
The slate of games for Week 7 is bananas, as each game has an element of must-see potential to it. From top to bottom, Ultimate Hoops fans will be excited as were guaranteed to see some good games, especially with the matchups being so close. Let’s look at this week’s epic upcoming game schedule.
7 p.m. – $hmoney (5-1) vs Legendary (3-3)
Legendary has been a team on the rise, as they have been playing inspired basketball. However, they are running into a $hmoney team who just had their bid for an undefeated season stripped from them. $hmoney will be out to prove a point, and unfortunately, Legendary will have to bare first hand witness to it all.
Prediction: $hmoney.
7 p.m. – Reformation (3-3) vs The Rox (5-1)
GAME. OF. THE. WEEK! This game is huge for both teams. The Rox are looking to finish out the season strong with their sixth straight win. Reformation is on a streak of their own, as Jean Romulus has this team competing. Both want to extend their streaks. For the Rox, they are looking to stay atop the power rankings. They’ve been tough to beat, and that doesn’t change this week.
Prediction: The Rox
8 p.m. – Dream Team (4-2) vs Fire (3-3)
This was another game in the running for game of the week. Dream Team needs to pick it up after last week’s surprising loss to Legendary. Fire however has been sneakily good, and looks to put it all together against a tough Dream Team. Look for another big game from Jahleel Moise as he leads his team to an upset win.
Prediction: Fire
8 p.m. – The Wildcats (0-6) vs Wolves (0-6)
The Battle Of The Owens! The one we’ve all been waiting for. Tonight, someone walks away from a dreaded winless season, and the other has its name etched in the records books of the not so ultimate hall of fame. The Wildcats have been bad all season. The Wolves, however, might actually be half decent if they could just get a fifth body on the floor. The Wolves have shown me something in their losses, which is why I’m leaning in their favor.
Prediction: Wolves
