Red Storm (3-1) vs Jeurys Familia (2-1)

We kickoff week five with a great matchup in the 8:30 time slot. The Red Storm will take on Jeurys Familia in battle two stick at the top for second and third place. The Red Storm will face their first real test of the season this week.

Jeurys Familia is coming off a loss and they will be looking to get back on track. They are tough great team that matches up well with the Red Storm. Steven Medard and Mike Mastro will have a fun one on one matchup to watch, but this game will come down to the outside shooters for both teams. Both teams can really shoot it from the outside and whoever can stay hot and knock down big shots will win this game.

PICK: Jeurys Familia

Shore Shack (2-1) vs CST Elite (1-3)

Shore Shack will take on a struggling CST Elite team this week. CST Elite has struggled to score the ball or stop anyone from getting up and down the court on them. CST Elite has a lot of size, but this league is filled with athletic swingman and guards which has made it tough for them.

Shore Shack is one of the best teams in the league in transition and if they can rebound the ball they will win this game with no problem. In order for CST Elite to stick around in this game they need to slow the pace down and I’m not sure if they can do that against an athletic Shore Shack team.

Ref Elites (0-4) vs Threat Level Midnight (2-1)

The Ref Elites are in desperation mode. They need a win any way possible. They will take on Donte Howell and Brandon Perez who have won two straight games. The Ref Elites haven’t been blown out in any game this season and they have kept games close. They will look to do that again tonight as they hunt that first win.

Threat Level Midnight will look to stay hot and make it three in a row. The matchup to watch in this game is the point guard matchup between Donte Howell and John Ager. Both are great guards in this league and are the key to their teams. We’ll see is the Ref Elites can keep it close and finally get in the win column.

Gale Force (3-0) vs Monstars (1-3)

Gale Force is coming off their bye week and will take on a struggling Monstars team that just lost by 50 to Threat Level Midnight last week. The Monstars can’t catch a break. In back-to-back weeks they will face off against Donte Howell and now Richie Byrd.

Gale Force puts up a lot of shots and when they are open from deep they don’t miss too often. The Monstars are the worst defensive team in the league and if they don’t pick up the effort level in this game it could be another difficult game for them. Gale Force has the size and ability to rebound and run with Byrd and Sky Khaleel leading the way.
