Plenty of Heartbreak for 808's

1. Hit Squad (6-0)

A 112-73 victory over FireStorm allowed Hit Squad to display their athleticism all night as they constantly were throwing alley oops of all varieties. Devante Pennyman (24 points) led the way on offense as every one of his points came off of 3-point shots. Anthony Douglas (16 points, 11 rebounds) lived above the rim in this one as was too much for FireStorm all night.

2. C4 (5-1)

Back on track after their only loss of the regular season last week, C4 took down Gamers 100-78. Roger Hood (33 points, 9 rebounds), TJ Warren (27 points), and Dakota Ogles (15 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists) were all dominant forces offensively in this one for C4. Tune ups against 808's and Monstars are on deck for C4 before they try to win their third championship in a row.

3. Monstars (4-2)

Monstars solidified being far and away a top three team in the league last week with a 98-86 win over 808's and Fastbreaks. Justin McKinney was unstoppable, putting up a ridiculous 56 points on an efficient 67 percent shooting from the field. With an opportunity to play against No. 1 Hit Squad this week, Monstars have a chance to legitimize themselves in the league.

4. Gamers (1-5)

A 100-78 loss against C4 was highlighted by a 49-point outburst by Gamers in the second half. They did give up 60 in that same half, but offensively, that was impressive. With a game against FireStorm on the schedule this week, Gamers has an opportunity to take sole possession of fourth place heading into the last week of the regular season.  

5. 808's and Fastbreaks (1-5)

With an opportunity to wrap up the No. 4 playoff spot with a win, 808's dropped a 98-86 decision to Monstars as they could only hit 23 percent of their 3s. Enis Dokovic did his job in putting up a triple-double (30 points, 12 rebounds, 12 steals), however, it was not enough. With a game against C4 looming, one would think 808's will be thinking about that Week 6 loss for a while.

6. FireStorm (1-5)

A 112-73 loss to Hit Squad continued to show FireStorm's defensive deficiencies. On offense, Ezangelo Anderson (19 points) and Marcus Norwood (19 points) combined for six 3-pointers and more than half of the total output for the whole team. A winnable game against Gamers is on deck for FireStorm next week.
