FORT WORTH: Round 1 Playoff Predictions

This weeks starts the playoffs and that means the end is near for some and the journey begins for others. The top two seeds Ball Don't Lie and LT Colleyville get a first round bye and possibly some rest. So how will the other four teams fair in the first round? Here are the predictions.

7 p.m. No. 4 Rough Riders (4-4) vs. No. 5 Pine Riders (2-6)

Neither of the first two matchups were close. Will this one be any different? Both teams met last week and were a little short handed. That didn't stop Dominique Burnett from going for a UH career high of 40. Now you do have to understand that about half of that came off leak outs, but still count all the same. The Pine Riders name was a perfect fit as many of them rode the pine all season. Maybe they are saving the best for last. 

Prediction: Rough Riders 86- Pine Riders 72 (and hopefully no black eyes or injuries)

8 p.m. No. 3 Pink Flamingos (6-2) vs. No. 6 HFTC (0-8) 

I am sure the Pink Flamingos have a bitter taste in their mouth as the lost last week dropped them to the third seed. However, they should take care of business against the winless HFTC. The Birds will need to look out for Partha Mukherji who is red hot coming off a season high. Everyone's journeys have to start and end somewhere. This should be the start of the Birds and the end for HFTC. As I mentioned in the power rankings, it is not easy being a team of all free agents and battling each week despite being winless, mad props to HFTC. I hope you enjoyed playing as I did having you be a part of the league. 

Prediction: Pink Flamingos 104- HFTC 76
