GREEN VALLEY DRAFT: Preseason Power Rankings

By Michael Palmer | Green Valley Media Associate

1. Flash

Flash has got themselves quite the roster as they are led by center James Rice, point guard Juan Carter, shooting guard Edwin Urbina and forward Mike Anderson. I have to put them at the top of the list based on the size and qualities they bring to the table. I'm eager to see how Carter and Urbina pair together and it will be fun to see what this team does this season. They also have Michael Cornachio, who has had numerous double-digit scoring games and is a solid player. Of course, L.C. Comine will be a 3-point threat and let's see what his shooting percentage will look like this season.

2. Aquaman

Any time a team has Ben Carey on it, they're bound for success as he will highlight Aquaman this season. He also has Luis Maceira, who seems to be getting double-doubles from left to right, and Paul Boag, who is a beast every time he steps foot on the court. Watch out for Lamont Harris Jr. to provide that extra spark this team needs. If Aquaman gets some other pure talent, man will this team be loaded.

3. Batman

George Abittan highlights Batman and he's had success in this league as his first season in the winter season brought in a championship with the vet league's Buckets. Can he make it two titles in a row in his tenure at Ultimate Hoops Green Valley? Vance Randall and Robert Lew will be big-time shooting threats and we'll see how the season goes, but he has some scorers in RJ Wojtowicz and Evan Hunt that could surprise teams this season.

4. Superman

Superman is led by the all-time 3-point king Kerry Knoll, as well as Michael Loyd and Anthony Khotsikian. Amanda Kelley is another 3-point threat for Superman, while Mark Siegel will be a threat not only in the paint, but on defense too. We'll see a ton of shots attempted throughout the season and hopefully, Superman can make an early statement.

Predictions

Superman vs. Flash | Flash -6.5

Batman vs. Aquaman | Prediction: Batman -3.5
