Nothing Easy
GAITHERSBURG: Week 3 Power Rankings
By Remy Primas | Gaithersburg Media Associate
1. SuperSonics
Many are expecting these guys to continue their winning ways when they face off against the Trailblazers. We figure as long as these guys work together and find open shots they can’t lose.
2. Mavericks
They are coming off a loss last week. Granted, they didn’t have their starters which put them in a tough position. Let’s see if they come out motivated to win.
3. Lakers
They got their first win of the season last week knocking off the talented Trailblazers. They played a well-rounded defensively strategized game and made shots when they needed too. We’ll see if they can do more of the same tonight.
4. Trailblazers
They took a tough loss last week. They played a decent game, but all the spectators know they could’ve done better. Chris Brown and Jonathan Kim were dominant in their ways, but they need their captain Zach Mink to hit his 3s. If they can find their rhythm together next game should go their way.
5. Bullets
They got their first win of the season last week and they surely have to feel good about it. They beat a struggling, but very good 76ers team. Shelby Jupiter was on fire shooting the ball at 74 percent and added 9 rebounds to help his team prevail. They have a good chance to get another win tonight.
6. 76ers
They lost a very close game last time out and hope to get on the winning side of things asap. Their stars are going to have to step up in a big way and knock down some big shots. Luckily they have experienced players like Spencer Bell, Sean Sweeney and Seth Needleman who’ve been in this position before, so we don’t expect them to panic. Tonight might just be their night.
