GREEN VALLEY DRAFT: Week 2 Predictions

Batman (1-0) vs. Superman (0-1)

George Abittan and Batman will look to make it two straight wins as they'll face Michael Loyd and Superman. Superman simply struggled from downtown last week, shooting 25 percent from distance. Loyd scored a team-high 19 points, while Amanda Kelley got herself 10 points. Batman put a beating on Aquaman as Abittan scored a game-high 39 points on nine made 3s. William St. Clair ll also returned to Ultimate Hoops and had quite the performance, scoring 27 points on 59 percent shooting. I know that Superman will take a close look at St. Clair ll and make sure he doesn't get his shots off. Watch out for Robert Lew to make some clutch 3s and Evan Hunt to get some smooth jumpers to go down. Vance Randall may be a difference maker too, and Superman may have their hands full here, which is why I'm making Batman the favorites.

Prediction: Batman -12.5

Aquaman (0-1) vs. Flash (1-0)

Lamont Harris Jr. and Aquaman will look to get the upset win against Juan Carter's Flash. Even though Aquaman lost last week to Batman, they still shot 52 percent from the field, but they were without two of their best players in Ben Carey and Luis Maceira. If they want any shot and getting the win, I would think Carey and Maceira would should suit up. Paul Boag, who got himself a double-double of 20 points on 13 boards, while he matched up against Edwin Urbina and boy will we see some aggressive basketball being played tonight. Carter will be the difference maker for Flash, but don't sleep on James Rice or else he will power his way through Aquaman's defenders in the paint. I expect this to be a low-scoring game and for Flash to pull through for the win.
