CYPRESS: Week 4 Predictions
By Kevin Gill | Cypress Media Associate
7 p.m. - No. 1 F.R.E.E. (2-1) vs. No. 2 Cypress Elite (2-1)
GAME OF THE NIGHT! The 7 p.m. will feature the top two teams in the league. I expect high-level basketball in the form of a track meet. Mark McGlone will go for 35-plus, book it. Eddie McKissic will be patting the rock like a parent trying put a 👶 to 😴 💤. Dre Gatson will go for 30-plus easily. This is your classic “stat game” where everyone gets their numbers and when it gets to crunch time the creme of the crop will shine. This is not an easy game to pick, but I’m going to go with the deeper team in F.R.E.E.
Spread: F.R.E.E. -2.5
Over/Under: 186
Prediction: F.R.E.E. 94-91
8 p.m. - No. 3 Grim Reapers (2-1) vs No. 4 Free Agents (0-3)
Grim Reapers finally took their first L of the season. Although they were short-handed, they were very much still competitive and able to produce a season-high 89 points. So close to their goal set at 90, but no cigar. I imagine they will be highly motivated heading into their matchup against the Free Agents. I’m going to go out on a limb and say they will find their groove again and simply dominate. James Wortham will be in attendance and get about 30. Michael Thomas will have a double-double with about 15 rebounds and the team will shoot the lights out.
Spread: Grim Reapers -14.5
Over/Under: 167
Prediction: Grim Reapers 100-79
