Last week we introduced a new look to the front page of our leagues website, which measures which players across UH Nation have the highest PPV’s over their past two games played. Each Monday we’ll take a look at the top five hottest players in UH Nation and break down their past two games.

Here’s a look at the five hottest players in UH Nation.

1. Brendan McManus +13,628,091

McManus tops the list due to the hot start he’s had in the Bergen County Open League. In the opening game of the season, McManus put up 22/11/7 with three steals in a 69-60 loss. He responded to the season-opening loss with a triple-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds and assists apiece. He shot 15-20 from the field and led the Ballerz to a 92-57 win over the Bergen Tropics. His two game average of 27/10.5/8.5 this season makes him the hottest player in Ultimate Hoops.

2. Jeremy Heath +13,058,936

Heath has had a similar start to his season in the San Antonio Draft League than McManus has had in Bergen County. He put up 23 points and 14 rebounds in a 68-67 loss, and followed that up with 37 points and 20 rebounds in a 97-47 win. So a close loss followed up with a blowout win, both of which featured a star performance from Heath. Very similar to McManus, as both players have been hot to start the season.

3. Jon-Ross Campeau +12,268,444

Campeau’s production has come in two different leagues, the Summerlin and Green Valley Open leagues, but his rise in PPV came in Green Valley. In his first game in Green Valley this season, he put up a career-high in points, 46, and assists, 13, but it comes with a slight asterisk as it was a 4-on-4 game. That makes it ineligible for any league record, but it still counts towards his PPV.

4. Maleek Wood +11,952,247

Wood was featured in last week’s article as the second-hottest player in UH Nation, and he hasn’t played in a game since, so there are no updates to give here.

5. Josh Hoyle +11,193,374

This top five has been dominated by fairly new player to UH, as none of the previous four have played in more than 100 games, and the average number of games played between the four is 39.3. Hoyle has played in 554 games, the 13th-most in UH history, and his last game was good enough to make him the fifth-hottest player in UH. in a 136-89 win for The Originals, Hoyle put up 29/19/9 on 12-19 shooting from the field and 5-8 from deep.
