Zach Hamilton made his UH debut on July 9 this year, putting up 62 points on 22-30 shooting from the field, adding 12 rebounds, seven assists and five steals in a 92-82 win for Hamilton’s Team Baybrook.

The Baybrook Draft League was officially put on notice on July 9 that Hamilton was going to completely change the league. Hamilton ended up leading Team Baybrook to the title that season, defeating the defending champs, Over-The-Hill-Gang, 87-76. Hamilton scored 67 points in that game, and he would end the season averaging 52.4 points and 12.4 rebounds.

Baybrook saw more of the same in the fall season, as Hamilton helped lead Team Baybrook to back-to-back titles last night, once again defeating Over-The-Hill-Gang, this time 69-68.

The championship game was indicative of Team Baybrook’s entire season. They trailed 62-55 with three minutes left but still found a way to fight back and win. They had to dig themselves out of a 0-4 start to this season, which they eventually turned into a six-game win streak and a championship.

Hamilton was a little tamer this time around, as he scored 40 points, adding eight rebounds and six assists in the win. He finished this season averaging 40.4/9/5.8 with shooting percentage splits of 52/44/81.

Hamilton now has an aggregate record of 12-8 with two titles in his two UH seasons. In both seasons, Hamilton was the team leader in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. His lowest scoring output has been 27 points, and he’s scored 50 or more points in a game seven times.

Hamilton is undoubtably the best player in Baybrook, and you could make the case he’s the most dominant player in all of UH when you compare the impact he has on his league with the impact any other individual has on their league. We’ll see if another 6-4 season and championship is one the way for Hamilton and Team Baybrook in the winter.
