Who's Hot: Jordan Guy's high-scoring night elevates his PPV
Here’s a look at the five hottest players in UH Nation from the past week, based on PPV.
1. Jordan Guy +15,019,358
Guy has played in 33 career games, averaging 27.4 points per game. Scoring is nothing new to him, and he just had one of the best games of his UH career. Guy scored 47 points last Tuesday in the Tempe Draft League, one point shy of his career-high 48, which came on January 29 of last year. Guy put up 47 points on 14-22 shooting from the field, 8-12 from deep and 11-12 from the free-throw line. He added 12 rebounds and six assists to complement the efficient scoring.
2. Yemi Ajao +13,691,330
Ajao has had a consistently efficient start to the winter season in the MetroWest Draft League. In two games this season, he’s averaged 24 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 68% from the field. He’s been automatic from everywhere on the court this season, but he’s been unstoppable inside the arc, where he’s shot 12-13 through two games.
3. David Ware Jr. +13,533,232
Ware Jr.’s last two games have been vastly different, but they’ve both been productive. His most recent game came last night in the Summerlin Draft League, where he dominated. He had 37 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists, shooting 14-19 from the field and a perfect 8-8 from beyond the arc. In the game the week before in the draft league, Ware Jr. struggled in the scoring department, putting up four points on 2-11 shooting from the field. Despite the rough shooting night, he still had a large impact on the game, putting up 17 rebounds, 14 assists and eight steals.
4. John Cox +12,869,218
Cox has been an extremely efficient player in his 59 career UH games, shooting 57% from the field and 40% from deep. He’s upped his shooting averages significantly through two games this season in the Fort Washington Draft League, shooting 74% from the field and 67% from deep. That has translated to him averaging 31 points per game, adding 10 rebounds and six assists per game.
5. Dan Inglish +12,584,641
Inglish has been a walking double-double in the Green Valley Vet B League through two games this season. He started the season putting up 28 points and 14 rebounds, and he followed that up with 38 points and 15 rebounds last week in a 91-50 win for Inglish’s Old School over Rudedogs.
