Regional teams embracing post-season "King of Dallas" title game

Teams competing at Life Time - Dallas in Highland Park.

For over ten years, Ultimate Hoops leagues have been operating at Life Time’s in Dallas-Fort Worth. Although league champions are crowned at individual clubs, there was no post-season “Tournament of Champions” to see which Dallas region champion is the “King of Dallas.”

Then, League Coordinators Evan Pastorelle (Dallas - Highland Park) and Gabriel Brown (Fort Worth) organized the first metroplex championship game on July 7, 2021. Ultimate Oops, the Dallas- Highland Park Spring Season 2021 champion, traveled 45 minutes to Life Time - Fort Worth to play their winner Good Fellas.

Ultimate Oops defeated Good Fellas to earn the first “King of Dallas” crown, returning the title to Highland Park. After two seasons, the “King of Dallas” title remains firmly in Highland Park.

However, with more Ultimate Hoops leagues relaunching in the region, the number of champions will increase, raising the potential for a one-day post-season tournament.

Could a "King of Texas" tournament featuring league champions from Ultimate Hoops champions in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio be in the future?
