GILBERT VET: Week 2 Predictions

With pregame Early Bird specials to be had for our elder statesmen, let's get right into these predictions.

5 p.m. - Below the Rim vs BRAVO Pay

Kris Hennen and Adam Swanton should have a heck of a battle around the rim, but if BTR wants to start the season off with an upset, Dean Sherry will need to channel the sharp shooting of Stanison Yazzie and Tim Tracey.  I like this one to be close, but let's give this one to OG Brandon Walker and BRAVO Pay.

Prediction: BRAVO Pay by 8

6 p.m. - Seasoned Vets vs Rhinos

Mike Harrison won't let his crew stay down for long, but it's hard to figure out who's shutting down midrange assassin Philip Johnson in this one.  Interesting secondary story: Partee brothers doing battle (Kenem vs Freddie).  Betting on the tusked ones here.

Prediction: Rhinos by 5

7 p.m. - Shake 'N Bake vs No Limits

In the heavyweight showdown of the night, we get godfather Donald Dangmuk vs Summer MVP and legend Gerald Williams.  Donald and Erick Booker will have their work cut out for them slowing down the OG, though the same is true for Shake 'N Bake trying to get in the way of post behemoth Lionel Pehoua.  This writer likes Shake 'N Bake to pull this one out, but with Jaydee Van Ahn delivering the end of game heroics.

Prediction: Shake 'N Bake by 3
