KING OF PRUSSIA: Week 5 Power Rankings

1. King and Duck  (4-0)

King and Duck are absolutely impressive as they go to 4-0 winning by an average of 22 points per game and making it look too easy. Captain Marcus Gaskins put together a team of unselfish ball players who have one goal and that’s to hang another banner.

2. Injured List  (3-1)

The Injured List win their third straight game and have found a team chemistry tough for teams to figure out. They are getting scoring from everyone on the floor. Eric Straub is hitting 3s slashing to the basket, rebounding, and playing great D. Chris Shelton has owned the glass and Tom Dellafranco is stretching the floor with his range.

3. Hit Squad  (3-1)

The Hit Squad come off another 99-point game, the highest point total thus far and have their groove. Phil Cavalcante and Larry Tape Jr are completely dominating averaging a combined 37 points and 28 rebounds per game. Add in the sharp shooter Adam Shute and the ball hawking defense of Josh Simon and this team is ready to compete with anyone.

4. Sunline  (2-2)

Sunline bounced back in Week 4 in dominant fashion as they beat the Monstars by 32 points and completely outworked them. Going nine deep they wear down teams and constantly putting pressure on the opponent to turn the ball over. Abdiel Ortiz’s aggressive attacking mentality leads the way as Shawn Hliwski strokes jumpers from the outside. Team depth is the blessing and the curse as they have to continue to find time for everyone.

5. KOP’s Finest  (2-2)

KOP’s Finest lost the leading scorer in the league in Stephen Coachi for 3-4 weeks with an MCL sprain which could be tough as Mekhi Clemons, who scored 42 points in a Week 4 loss, will need to take on the leadership role. Veteran Dan Reardon will need to rally the troops as they sit at 2-2 in the middle of the pack.

6. Monstars  (2-2)

The Monstars drop all the way down to the sixth spot after an embarrassing 32-point loss in Week 4. The lack of defense and team play has been the downfall of these giants. Team continuity and flow is also an issue as they have not found an identity. Plenty of time left for Captain Mike Sidebitham to pull his team together and get on a roll before the playoffs begin.

7. Pippen Aint Easy (0-4)

Pippen Aint Easy remains in the seventh spot as they fall to 0-4 after being shorthanded in Week 4 missing best player Joe Colangelo who has missed the last two games. The continuity and consistency on this team is where they need improvement, they need to put two good halves together and not play great for just one. If they are able to play a complete game as a unit they can do very well.

8. Maverace  (0-4)

Team Maverace remains in the basement and doesn’t look as though they will get out anytime soon. They play hard and they show signs of being a good team but then they find a way to blow it late in the game. This team needs better defense and more competitiveness in the second half of games to get on the winning side of things.
