New Drama in the OC
A new year, a new season, and certain to be new drama in the OC. After a long holiday hiatus, the Laguna Draft League is set to kick off with a few new faces, lots of familiar foes, and players that are looking to further cement their ongoing UH legacy.
Michael Cox
One of the most impactful players across the country for whatever team he laces it up for. An appearance at the National Tourney would've more than likely put him on the All UH Team for 2018. MC doesn't really jones for the notoriety but undoubtedly has winning on his mind any time he steps on the court. Look for him to lead the nation in PPR again the season.
Kevin Edmunds
Back after a season off, Edmunds is looking to build on his most recent title from last summer. This big man can do it all and usually does, not shying away from shooting a big shot from deep, gobbling up rebounds in the paint, or orchestrating an offense with the ball in his hands. Look for him to have an immediate impact for his team. The one thing to watch for is his travel schedule as in the past this has been a make or break for his teams.
Tommy Fausett
Fausett is no stranger to these watch lists. He's been around long enough to see everything in Laguna. If there was a constant, it's him. Rain, shine, bum knee, bum foot, etc, Fausett shows up and knows how to play the game the right way. There aren't a lot of players left like him. Fundamentals might be his middle name. He is as cerebral as they come with a high basketball IQ that gives him the "it" factor. He is fun to watch with his post moves, precision passing, and the occasional 3-ball. Oh, and did I mention that he actually plays defense, a lost art in the UH world.
