NYC National Tournament MVP, Spencer Smith, dominates in blowout win for FMB
Spencer Smith has been a consistently dominant player whenever he steps in the gym for an Ultimate Hoops game, and that was on full display in last summer’s New York National Tournament. In a tournament loaded with talent, Smith was the best of the bunch, as he averaged 20/6.2/4.2 with shooting splits of 55/44/96.
That dominance was on full display last night in the Westchester Draft League, as Smith had a triple-double of 31/15/10, shooting 13-18 from the field and 4-7 from deep in a 114-67 win for FMB over 914. You know you had a good game when you lead your team in points, rebounds assists and steals (Smith had three last night) in a game, and that’s especially true when your team wins by 47.
Smith has been his usual self since winning the national title last August, as he’s averaged 30.1/9.4/6.3 with shooting splits of 55/48/84 in seven games. FMB is 2-1 through three weeks into the winter season in Westchester, but they are 2-0 in games that Smith plays, winning those games by 14 and 47 points.
