Here’s a look at the five hottest players in UH Nation from the past week, based on PPV.

1. Shawn Monegan +14,070,767

Monegan has had a very up-and-down season in the Green Valley Rec League, as he’s had two games where he’s scored over 30 points and two games where he’s scored four or fewer points. His most recent game has been his best of the season, as he had 36 points, 16 rebounds (eight on each end of the floor), five assists and six steals for a PPR of 44.1. This performance came in a four-on-four game, and Monegan took advantage of the extra floor space.

2. Omer Helmy +13,817,809

One way to significantly raise PPV is to put up a career-high, and that’s what Helmy did last week in Bloomington South. He put up a career-high 33 points, and he added 13 rebounds, which is one shy of his career-high of 14. He got to 33 points due to shooting 12-19 from the field and 9-13 from deep. He also added six assists to round out a balanced offensive performance.

3. Jordan Guy +12,995,697

Guy was featured in this article a couple weeks ago after he put up 47 points and 12 rebounds in the Tempe Draft League. He’s back to getting his PPV increased after an even better performance, this time in the Gilbert Draft League. Last night he put up a triple-double of 50 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to help Endless Smoke get their first win of the season. The PPR of his 47-point game in Tempe was 50.3; his PPR from last night’s game was 61.9.

5. Daniel Howard +12,236,824

John Cox is fourth on this list for the third straight week, so we’ll move onto the fifth spot, which belongs to Howard. Howard has been on a two-game tear, which spans two different leagues. Last Thursday, in the Summerlin Vet League, he put up 24 points, eight rebounds, four assists and four steals in a two-point loss for the Honey Badgers. Last night, in the Summerlin Draft League, he put up 39 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in a game that was not nearly as close, as Fantasy Crunchers won 92-68 over the Ultimate Warriors.

6. Kyle Weissenburger +12,205,204

Weissenburger gets onto this list after recording his first double-double of the season, as he put up 27 points and 15 rebounds (both season-highs) last week in a blowout win for the Charlotte Bobcats in the Gaithersburg Draft League. Weissenburger has helped lead the Bobcats to a 3-1 record halfway through the winter season in Gaithersburg, as they only trail the Miami Heat in the standings, who sit at 4-0.
