Who's a Stud and Who's a Dud?
BURLINGTON: Week 4 Predictions
By David Jordan | Burlington Media Associate
Week 4 is the halfway mark for the regular season. Thus far, we haven’t had many surprises. Through three weeks, we haven’t quite figured out the contenders vs pretenders, but its safe to say that we know which teams have been studs, and which teams have been duds.
There are a couple undefeated teams, and their could have been one more had it not been for a forfeit. We also have some winless teams, or as I like to call them, 0wen Wilsons. This week will be crucial for teams trying to separate themselves from the pack, as next week we’ve got some BIG TIME matchups on the horizon. Without further adieu, let’s take a look at the Week 4 predictions.
7 p.m. – Legendary (2-1) vs Fire (1-2)
GAME. OF. THE. WEEK! Swinging right out of the gate, we’ve got a huge game in Burlington. Legendary had a statement win with their 40-point blowout last week, and look to improve to 3-1 on the season. Fire is a team looking to get their mojo back, and need a big time win against a big time team. Falling to 1-3 would be a terrible look for them. This is a big one!
Prediction: Legendary
7 p.m. – The Wildcats (0-3) vs. The Rox (2-1)
This one is a tale of two teams. The Wildcats have been trending downward, and desperately need to find a way to get into the win column. On the other side, the Rox seem to be getting better and better each week. Although the matchup might be closer than some would think, I have to go with the hot hand.
Prediction: The Rox
8 p.m. – Reformation (1-2) vs. Dream Team (3-0)
A matchup that was in the running for game of the week, this one has classic written all over it. I like to think of it as David vs Goliath. Dream Team comes in as the obvious favorite. But, there’s something in me that just believes this we will be Reformations' wake up game. That’s right, I’m putting the Dream Team on #UpsetAlert.
Prediction: Reformation
8 p.m. – Wolves (0-3) vs. $hmoney (3-0)
Lastly, we’ve got the Wolves vs $hmoney. On any given night, anyone can win. But, not this time around. The defending champs are just too good right now, and I just don't think that the Wolves have the firepower to keep up. So 0-4 they go.
Prediction: $hmoney
